Workers Compensation Specialist

First let me say “I’m sorry”.  I’m sorry because if you are looking at this website, either you or someone you know has been injured.  I’ve never had a client who thought it was going to happen to them.  But it does happen, so I’m sorry you’ve been injured.

I’m also sorry that you’ve landed in a workers compensation system that isn’t really designed to help you.  Yes, that’s right.  It is designed to have cheap insurance for Florida businesses.  How do you have cheap insurance?  Limit and control the medical care and the benefits.  I don’t mean to sound so negative, I tell my clients I’m not a cheerleader.  I’m not here to tell you what you want to hear, I’m here to give you legal advice and to tell you the truth.  All is not lost.  I have 35 years experience with the system and can help you through the process.  I’ve been able to help thousands of people who found themselves in a similar situation.

My firm is me and my secretary.  I do things the old-fashioned way.  I actually talk to clients.  You won’t just deal with a paralegal or an investigator.  I don’t take every case that calls my office.  If I think you need help I will tell you.

If you have read this far, call me.  If I am not available my secretary will set up an appointment or phone conference.  You may not know it, but you need help.

       Call me.

Work injuries are difficult for a number of reasons.  First, they hurt just as bad as any other injury.  Secondly, your employer is now responsible for helping you and they may be looking at you in a different way.  You may get the feeling that you are just a cog in the machine, and they want to replace that cog.  Can they do that?  They may be looking at you like you are really not hurt, or it didn’t happen on the job.  What do you do?   Thirdly, you will be dealing with an insurance company that only truly cares about their bottom line.  Don’t kid yourself.   The adjuster doesn’t get extra points for making sure you get everything you are entitled to.   It is in fact exactly the opposite.

It is not enough to trust that your employer or the insurance company is going to do the right thing.  (If you have a significant injury, they may do the right thing initially.  But what happens when they think you are better, and you aren’t?)   You need someone on your side who can represent your interest and ensure the insurance company fulfills its obligation.  There is no requirement that I, or you, have to tell anyone that you have talked to an attorney.  One of my rules is: “Don’t poke a sleeping dog.”   If they are not doing what they are supposed to I will poke the sleeping dog.  That’s not a problem.   Mine is a one-on-one approach that you will not get at the constant-commercials law firms.  You’ll talk to the guy in the picture, not some paralegal.

Top Workers Comp Questions to ask Yourself:

Have my benefits been correctly calculated?

Why won’t the insurance company representative call me back?

Do I have any choice in my doctors?

What happens if I don’t get better?

How do I get retraining benefits?

Under what circumstances can, or should my case be settled?

DID YOU KNOW that the law protects you from being fired because you had a workers comp claim? Call me if you’ve been fired.
